The big event around here is the annual Oatmeal Festival, which takes place every Labor Day weekend. The old-timers get together here at the community center and crank up these amazing old smoke-pits, which they tend for 24 hours or more.

The result is some of the finest barbeque you will find anywhere. Neighbors meet and eat together and it feels like a real old-time community.
